This is an important eligibility exam for the candidates who want to become Primary (Class 1–5) and Upper Primary (Class 6–8) teachers in UP. UPTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification:
Primary Level (Class 1–5):
- Graduation degree + BTC / B.El.Ed / D.El.Ed (NCTE recognized)
- Minimum 50% marks (as per rules)
- Final year candidates can also apply
Upper Primary Level (Class 6–8):
- Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed / BTC / B.El.Ed
- Special Education candidates (RCI recognized) also eligible
- Candidates doing 4-year integrated course can also apply.
